DATV offers training classes free to our members. For folks new to DATV, we recommend our two session Beginners Production Workshop to introduce them to the basics of video production and editing. The first class concentrates on studio and field production techniques such as camera setup and operation, audio, lighting, directing and using our TriCaster production switcher. The second class will introduce participants to the Final Cut Pro editing software that’s used to edit and add graphics and special effects to video footage.
The Final Cut Pro class can be done as an online Zoom workshop as well.
In addition to our Beginner Workshop, we also offer classes for Podcasting, Production Van Training, Town Hall Meeting Room Training and Using Green Screen and Virtual Sets.
To Sign Up for a Beginner Workshop or other Class or Training:
Send an e-mail to ron@dracuttv.org
Any of the above classes can be done “on demand” just by contacting ron@dracutv.org and requesting a particular class.
We also schedule classes and workshops each month. The schedule can be seen on our Volunteer Opportunities page here.
TV CAMP FOR KIDS
We also have our popular TV Camp for Kids which is recommended for kids ages 10-13 and is usually held during Feb. vacation, April vacation and during the summer months. These are weeklong, two-hour sessions, that offer kids the opportunity to learn the basics of video production and create their own short programs which will air on DATV. There is a fee for the TV Camps.
Our next TV Camp will be held August 15-19, 2022, 12:30-2:30pm. This camp is almost full. Please e-mail ron@dracuttv.org if you’re interested in registering.
Please note that this form is for online payment only. If you need to pay by cash or check contact ron@dracuttv.org. Space is limited. Registration is not considered complete or guaranteed until payment is received.
